Based on the TNB domestic tariff of RM0.443/kWh for the first 1500 kWh and RM0.543/kWh above that. Solar energy consumed in the home while it is generated saves the full tariff, while surplus exported to the grid is offset at RM0.27/kWh below 1500 kWh a month and RM0.37/kWh above that. Systems start at 12 panels of 635W (7.62 kWp); a single phase meter allows up to 7.62 kWp (5 kW inverter) and a three phase meter up to 22.5 kWp ( 15 kW inverter). Bills under RM240 a month are generally too small for solar. Daytime consumption is assumed at 75% of monthly usage for your household profile.
